At the 1980 Invaders Hare &
Hound Bob Balentine & I passed & repassed each other
& towards the end of the 2nd loop Bob's rear shock broke, I
got a flat rear tire with only 8 bent spokes holding the rim
onto the hub. Bob & I got passed by Mike Sixberry right at
the end to finish 1st with a front flat, Bob took 2nd & I
took 3rd all this & we had a 6 minute lead over 4th place.
that was Awesome. |
