Always had a passion for the desert, desert riding and just loved being out there riding anywhere in the California Desert. Loved to explore old air force bases, indian paintings out in Johnson Valley, old abandoned mines, overall just loved riding in the desert and the commrodery that it brought from friend Mike Torche, Moose, Judy, Dean, and the olsen family.

Ed is since deceased March of 2003, but every race his step-son Joe Verde races he is remembered for exposing him to desert riding and racing.
