Three things thing I remember most, #1 going toward the smoke Bomb start, and riding in total dust-darkness.#2 being kicked off my bike in a sand wash by a Checker.( those guys were mean) #3 I was doing really well in a race and ran out of gas 5 miles before the finish.Needed to have a larger tank on the Montessa.
I am glad that I participated in District 37 races and wish I had taken pictures for my Grandkids to enjoy. The night before camping out in the desert drinking tomato juice and beer was something that I enjoyed very much.The Desert Foxes was brand new when I joined maybe 6 members but it was a very memorable time of my life.
