First Expert/Amateur race was 1974 Barstow to Vegas. Missed a trophy by one place. Saturday nights around the campfire were a blast, as was the camaraderie of the Stumpjumpers. Quite impactful for a 17-18 year old kid.
Diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrigs disease) in early 2013. Have an electric wheelchair now that I terrorize the sidewalks with.
